I really wanted to love this shoe as I have loved other Vasque shoes. They are normally a wonderful fit for my foot. The non-GTX version of this shoe fit me perfect. However, I wanted the waterproof version so I went with the GTX. Unfortunately the heel of this shoe is just a bit off. It has some odd pressure points on a seam in the heal region and doesn't fit as nicely in the heel as other Vasque shoes. I almost returned them, and right now I am wishing that I had. I have hiked 20+miles in them already trying to break them in and every time I am still ending up with blisters no matter how much protection I put on my heal (moleskin, liner socks, duct tape, ect). I love the features of the shoe, but the fit is very disappointing for Vasque.
I bought this for my wife and she was very happy with it. We did about 20 walks on New Zealand south island on moutain rocks, snow, farmland, through streams and on slippery seaside rocks. They'v......
